DemoCamp17

DemoCamp17 was really good.

It took place at the Toronto Board of Trade in First Canadian Place. The windows were uncovered for this event and the room looked really good. I had a window seat and the vibe was very 'Matrix II'-ish.

Demos were good, food was a plus, didn't catch too much of the Ignite Presentations. The social networking of the offline variety was also good as we made a couple important introductions.

ClutterMe update

You can now search your e-mail contacts and invite friends from your contact list. Probably the most vital feature for a site like ours to go viral.

Update: DemoCamp17 is tonight.

FacebookCamp among others...

FacebookCamp3 was amazing, lots of fun. Our 'talk' got downgraded to a Demo but that's OK, I still managed to fit in some techie data about eCPM and profile boxes.

An interesting thing happened today. Cubics announced that they were introducing Tagline ads. Tagline ads are small ads at the end of e-mails, usually nothing more than a simple 'a ref' link.

I don't think Facebook will stand for that. It will have to protect it's e-mail footprint.

But like most things associated with Cubics the Taglines application form was broken. Cubics is by far the most frustrating ad Network, conveniently 'misplacing' $500 of ad money until I had to contact them to get it back. *shudder*

Nevertheless life is good in snowy Toronto. Till next update.
